Europe
Title
Europe
Description
This map can be understood as a detail of a T-O map of the world. Europe is the fourth part of the world when Asia occupies half the circle and the other half is divided between Africa and Europe. Lambert is unusual in singling out Europe on a stand-along map which contains a significant number of cities, rivers, and mountains. (Victoria Morse)
